Holy crap! AzuDai news?!!! :o

According to the official site (currently under the What's up? section), a 10th anniversary edition of the AzuDai manga's going to be released this year. That in itself is awesome, but even more awesome is that it's going to include a new story. :o Here's the text from the website just in case it decides to go poof.

But seriously, I'd like to see a kind of epilogue, 5-10 years later kinda thing. Given that it's the 10th anniversary, that would seem appropriate.

This is awesome news. I, for one, would like to see a 21-year-old Chiyo-chan (if we were given a 10 years later story.)

I dunno about that. I found AzuDai in 2007, so in that case, while you all feel old, I and everyone else who found it later get to feel young and stupid! Balances it all out!


Now as for speculation, I'd really rather not see a 10 years later story. It'll probably be the summer after the third year or a new story set smack dab in the middle of one of the 3 years.

And I make myself sad, because I can't remember what volume the Magnetron strips were in. :mellow: I thought 2, but I couldn't find them..

I flipped through 3 and 4 but didn't see them. I may have just missed them though.

No, they're definitely early in volume one, when Chiyo still had realistic looking pigtails. It was due to those strips that I fell in love with the series... something about that 10 year old working at a fast food restaurant was hilarious to my 14 year-old self. :P

I think they were in book one and either book two or three.

Also: this means I was FIVE when Azumanga came out.
