While familiarizing myself with the series of Azumanga Daioh, I had been getting into Street Fighter again, which then gave me this idea...

Sakaki-san and Kagura slightly remind me of Ryu and Ken, respectively. They're both somewhat rivals, since Sakaki-san doesn't seem all too interested with it. Another ironic thing is that Ken's hair is and has been longer than Ryu's through the Street Fighter series.

I don't remember enough about the Sf backstory to know whether that's an apt comparison or not. When I played, I just wanted to beat the other guy up. :P

I've been playing Disgaea DS nonstop for a few weeks now, and now that you mention it, Flonne reminds me a LOT of Chiyo-chan. :o Both are very sweet and innocent, though able to get irritated when made fun of, and they're both the member of the group that everyone is most likely to come and help when they're in need. And they're both oblivious to a lot of things due to naivete.

Also, the female Brawler, because they have the same little pigtails. I always name mine Chiyo. :P

I have a vague recollection of naming mine Sakaki, way back when I first played Disgaea.
