It tugged at the ol' heart a bit, yes, but I didn't cry. For that, I'd need something on the level of Saikano or Voices of a Distant Star. :mellow:

I cried. And the rest of you are either lying or horrible inhuman monsters who should not live.

Yes, I did. Not like rivers or anything, but there were definitely tears. I still get pretty choked up whenever I watch it. It takes me back to my high school graduation. :cry:

I wouldn't say I cried but I had tears weeping down my face, and I was sad that the great thing known as Azumanga Daioh had ended. Of course now I can relive my favorite moments of the series. :D

Yeah, that's gotta be some kind of advanced crying. I mean even his tears were weeping too. :D :P

I have to admit it brought a lump to my throat and a certain dampness to the corners of my eyes several times - Chiyo crying as she sings "Aoge ba toutoshi", Kagura losing it when Yukari tells her "you have your memories of here", and Chiyo bowing to the school building (with just the simple piano music playing; no voices/other sounds). A finely-crafted finale if ever I saw one.

Yeah, I did, a bit.

Literally moments after writing my final exam in high school, I had to get into the family car as we moved halfway across the country. I passed high school, but I never had a graduation ceremony..

But yeah, a lot of the moments in the final episode really touched me. One that no one seems to mention when this topic comes up is one that really hits me hard. Yukari always seems to come off as thinking the kids think nothing of her and respect other teachers more... but

S P O I L E R S P A C E !

S P O I L E R S P A C E !

after she confesses to the kids that she's crying 'cause she lost her wallet.. Osaka pulls all the tissues out of her kleenex box and sets it on Yukari's desk marked "donations".

And everyone, though in their own special ways quite pathetically, contributes to it. Even Tomo searches hard for more than just her one yen coin to provide.

And then Yukari ruins it by flipping out at them. :)

I was holding back my tears until Chiyo-chan started crying, and then my friend and I burst into tears and started cracking up at the same time. And I usually don't cry about those things...o.O;
