Uh, yes. The Japanese seiyuu of Azumanga kick serious bunbun. My favourite seiyuu are Rie Tanaka, Cheiko Higuchi, Yuu Asakawa, Akiko Hiramatsu, and Aya Hisakawa. What are yours?

Kuwashima Houko is one of my favorite seiyuus in all anime. She did a great job capturing Kagura's personality. :) :wub:
I'm not so familiar with many of the other seiyuus, except for Aya Hisakawa, who wins for doing Haruko in AIR. :D |

Kuwashima Houko - It's a bit biased, since Kagura is my fave character. She voiced Kagura's tomboyish persona admirably.
Matsuoka Yuki - That slow, soft drawl...mesmerising. :wub: Tanaka Rie - Her role as the deadpan Yomi struck me as pleasantly surprising, since up to Azumanga Daioh I've only heard her voicing distinctly feminine characters (e.g. Chii, Mikihara Ren, Lacus). Probably my fave voice job in the anime. Hiramatsu Akiko - Excellent job bringing the crazy sensei to life. She never failed to crack me up. :lol: Nogawa Sakura - Kudos for making an annoying character sound so cute. :P These 5 are the standouts for me. :) |

Kouji Ishii. He made Kimura sound even more like a sleazeball. And there's no denying the powa of teh Chiyo-Chichi. :P Also Chieko Higuchi for capturing the spirit of Tomo and Houko Kuwashima for the very diverse Kagura. ^_^

Did anyone else notice that %50 of the Azu cast are actually JPop singers? :mellow:
I mean. Yuu Asakawa, Rie Tanaka, Aya Hisakawa... All they needed was a little Yui Horie and Megumi Hayashibara in there :P |

I would have made Yui the Seiyuu for Yukari, actually, but that's just me. And Rei is a J-Pop Singer? :o Edit: J-Pop wise, don't forget Ayumi Hamasaki. Or the J-Pop Band Do As Infinity (Yes, I draw much J-Pop roots of mine from Inuyasha. :P) |
