Title: feast your ear-tongues on these memory pops!!
as of right now, i am just starting to write things that i actually want to keep!

i started an 'indie folk band', and we have only practiced once. it was awesome though! we started on four songs, and they all sound awesome. so far it is only myself, my friend Marissa, and my friend Colin. we are most likely going to get some more people (especially because we wrote 4 parts to one song, and i dont think i want to have to sequence anything in this band). marissa and i are both looking for other instruments to buy, i would love to have a piano player, an accordion player, and have some banjo and mandolin. anyone to join will most likely be switching around a lot. i wanna do everything! well, i dont think i could pull off accordion, or anything past simple drums, but you never know...

i am also starting a band that i am going to call 'The New New Warriors', and we will mostly be writing songs about video games, anime, and comic books. it will be grand. my friend anthony and i are planning on writing an ep or album completely about Final Fantasy 7...

i almost forgot about this, but i am going to jam with my friend Jim Lewis for his new band. it turns out that he is ending the ever-amazing band The Green Rifle, and wants a drummer and Rhythm guitar player/keyboard player. i am gonna try for the guitar, and i have a friend that is an amazing drummer (i think that i want to do more stuff with him. my only problem with that is that it is intimidating having someone so amazingly talented working with my extremely simple songwriting.)

so yeah! i'm finally musically active again!

after learning that my mp3 plater can record stuff, i started experimenting with it with a couple of my friends. we made this noise.

this 'song' consists of my friend Casey on an acoustic guitar (he doesnt know how to play it), my friend Jordane on electric guitar, but you can barely hear it because its through a delay pedal that i was manipulating. the repetetive noises in it are that pedal, as i am twisting the knobs. i also play, detune, and re tune my bass during this. and the clicking near the end is the strings touching the pickups on my bass.

i'm actually proud of this track, even though its not real music.

you can get it here

more rough demos to come soon!

i havent been doing much of anything musically recently, but i am going to be on the next album by Parts and Labor!

i recorded 4 10 minute sound clips of noise and music, including a dishwasher run through just about every effect that audacity would let me, a scary sounding faucet, an out of tune guitar (that wasnt even plugged in), and hitting the roof of my car with some drum mallets.

seeing my name in the linear notes is going to make me pee my pants!

also, this band was in an old signature of mine.

fun stuff.

now i should start writing real songs...

I dunno, Ted, he likes Midori no Hibi. A guy like that would make a pretty good bass player. :o
