The price for those at cons must be hilarious, as the prices are already pretty inflated for toku stuff.

I keep stumbling into conversations with mothers of 16-year old girls, whle in full cosplay.. in the badge line yesterday and again today while eating lunch. Conversation with mom today went something like this:
*mom recounts story*
Mom: So who are you today?
Daughter: Gwah, I'm POLAND, durrr.
me: *chortle*

Well, since Zane couldn't provide viewings I just spun some music for a while.

While I was watching it one of their guys (no, not the guy) tried to sell me a Madoka sidescroller game for.. a lot of money. Like, he really laid it on with the pitch.
him: "I see that you like Madoka. Just how much do you like Madoka?" *produces game box"
me: "Not that much."
him: "Do you know how many of these there are in the world?"
me: "That is a lot of money that I can spend on other things."
him: "But can they give you bragging rights?"
me: "That is a lot of money that I can spend on things that cannot be torrented."
him: "You cannot torrent bragging rights."
me: "That costs as much, if not slightly less than the fuel pump I need to put in my car."
him: "Public transportation."
me: "I live in Houston. We have no public transportation."
*finally gives up*

We have the 2nd annual Anime Blues Con here in Memphis this coming weekend... I'm planning to go on Saturday. Johnny Yong Bosch is gonna be there and so is Robert Axelrod (Lord Zedd!!!) I'm gonna try to get Johnny to sign my 3DS copy of Tales of the Abyss, and maybe my PS2 copy as well.

I will definitely have some cosplay pics to post, and also my swag. (I am told that last year, there were a ton of Hetalia cosplayers... hopefully I'll see some others besides those.)

Double posting for the first day of Anime Blues Con 2012, live from Memphis! Not many cosplay pics yet, and there was an awesome Alucard (Castlevania) cosplayer I wanted to take a pic of, but she was headed to the opening ceremony. So here's my cosplay pics thus far.

ABC 2012

Look like it's about the same size as the Houston conventions. I saw that same Ikamusume phone charm at A-Kon, but as times goes on I find it harder and harder to spend $7 on what probably cost like 20 cents to produce. ;p

Madoka is

That Madoka was the only one of her kind. None of the other characters were represented. 'Twas a shame.

Jack Sparrow was amazing, loved the Ikamusume phone charm, sad that you saw (or snapped) no K-On cosplayers!

I didn't see a single K-On cosplayer. I dunno why that was. There might've been a Mio there, but I wasn't 100% sure that's who she was.

On day 3 I saw a Taiga cosplayer but I didn't bother her because she was sitting down and had taken her wig off.

Oh, and regarding Jack Sparrow: He was really frickin' awesome. He was in character the whole time and he could've been Johnny Depp's twin, for all I know. His costume was perfect. I wish I had had a pic of him beyond the extreme close-up. When I asked for his pic, he started acting all fabulous and got up in my face. It was funny as hell.

Since I have an iPhone and no place for a phone charm, Ikamusume is on my keychain along with Tanooki Mario.

Went to one of the big UK conventions, AmeCon again last weekend. Off to check out a brony convention tomorrow, will post photos from both soon
