If they knew what they were doing, it should be a microwave! :P

That.. is a pretty damn good idea. But it would play hell with the cordless phone, and probably trip breakers since kitchens are usually wired for higher amperage than the rest of the house.

Only outlets intended specifically for oven and such? Generally you wouldn't see a double-wide outlet anywhere out in the open, where you might put a microwave.

No, you're thinking of the 220V service. The 110V service in a kitchen is usually wired for 20A service with fewer outlets and no overhead lights in the circuit, whereas the living room/den is usually wired for 15A service and has several outlets in the circuit along with the overhead lights. It's not a hard and fast rule, though.

Pretty sure I'm not thinking of 220V, since that would be hot-to-hotsky-orb and I'm thinking hot-to-ground but on two breakers.

Somewhat updated shelves and walls. Also dust.

Domo-kun, Tiamat, Osaka & Chiyo-dad, and your friendly companion cube keep watch from above.

I see some familiar Lucky Star 'peeps in there.

Also, top shelf, right side, next to Arika: 'sup Nodoka's (or possibly Yue's) panties. :o

Nodoka's legs aren't the same length and she didn't come with a base, so she refuses to stand up.

I put a few of my newly acquired posters up, along with the new IIDX16 arcade tapestry.

Sorry for the obnoxiously loud music... but it's touhou (presumably, I mean it's on what seems to be a touhou remix album, but I like it because it's a kors k remix :P) at least! XD

Yay I get to post here now that I have a neatly organized room!

Image
I sleep there.

Image
It kind of looks like that foreground couch is right against my door but there's about a foot and a half between it and the wall and that is the access to my room.

Image
And the view from the window. I know I've shown it many times but whatever.

Image
CDs are now bed-adjacent.

Image
So is the laptop.

Image
The floor needs to be vacuumed and de-pennied.

Image
For once I did not move the mess here.

Image
Here be DVDs and mangas and plushies.

I have an extra Yotsuba&! 5 if anyone wants it.

Image
Contrary to popular belief, I still use this once in a while.

Image
Millions of untold horrors are stored within this dresser.

Image
And atop it.

Image
This is going to be hell to wake up to every morning. Again.

In case it's hard to determine what's where, I made a panorama using AutoStitch to hopefully give you guys a better idea of how this room is arranged. (this panorama is taken from the perspective of my bed in the corner of the room) :D

Max, if you got a poster, it'd probably liven up the room.

To get the kind of posters he would want, I think he'd have to get them all the way from Japan or something.
